Borouge 4 Project

NNPC, Nigeria

The project entails engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) activities for a full rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt refinery complex, aimed at restoring the complex to a minimum of 90% of its nameplate capacity. The complex is composed of two refineries totaling an overall capacity of approximately 210,000 bpd (barrels per day).

Borealis Kallo N.V.

The new plant will employ Honeywell UOP’s Oleflex™ technology, a widely used, reliable and sustainable choice for on-purpose propylene production. The new plant is scheduled to Start Up in mid-2022.

HAOR, Azerbaijan

The scope of the first contract entails the installation of an FCC gasoline hydrotreating unit, while the other contract refers to the installation of an LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) mercaptan oxidation unit and an amine treatment and LPG pretreatment unit.

EHC, Egypt

The contract’s value is approximately USD 550 million.
The plant will produce 1,320 MTPD (metric tons per day) of ammonia and includes extensive utilities and offsites facilities. The Scope of Work includes full Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities.

GEMLIK, Turkey

The plant will have the capacity of 1,640 MTPD of Granular Urea and 500 MTPD of UAN, and will run on the market leading urea technology of Stamicarbon, a fully owned subsidiary of MAIRE TECNIMONT SPA. The Scope of Work concerns the execution of engineering, supply of all equipment and materials and construction and erection works.

CROATIA,RIJEKA REFINERY

The Project is a mix of complexity and engineering challenges, ranging from debottlenecking of existing units up to the grassroot implementation of new ones. It involves the latest solutions for coke storage and sea jetty construction, and it will concern over 60% of the existing refinery.
The overall contract value is around €450 million.

ANGOLA,LUANDA REFINING BUSINESS

The contract has a value of approximately USD 200 MLN and represents a major part of the cooperation agreement between ENI and Sonangol. Scope of Work includes Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities relating to two refining process units, namely one Naphtha Hydrotreater, including also the naphta splitting, and one Catalytic Reformer.

AGCC, Russian Federation

This project is going to be one the largest petrochemical facilities in the world and will be fed with products associated to natural gas of the AGPP project. The entire gas development initiative – composed of AGPP and AGCC – located in the Amur region, represents therefore a gamechanger in the global energy processing scenario.

STAVROLEN, TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN CORE BUSINESS PROJECT

KINGISEPP, UREA AND AMMONIA PLANT

The proposal from Maire Tecnimont provides the value up to approximately EUR1 billion for the new combined urea and ammonia plant with capacity about 3,000 tonnes of ammonia and 4,000 tonnes of urea per day, once fully ramped up.
Under the terms of the Early Works agreement, Maire Tecnimont Group will carry out preliminary engineering and site surveying work at the brownfield site adjacent to EuroChem’s existing production facilities at Kingisepp.

POLAND, FERTILIZER PLANT

This contract concerns one of three packages related to ANWIL’s expansion of its fertilizer production capacities. ANWIL’S overall investment for the three packages is approximately USD 350 million, as communicated by the client. The Scope of Work includes engineering, equipment supply, construction, commissioning and execution of performance tests

TOTAL RAFFINAGE, France

The project mainly consists of a new Hydrotreatement Unit on an Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) basis to be realized in the Donges Refinery, in Western France. The Hydrotreater will have a capacity of 40 thousand barrel per day.

AGIC, Saudi Arabia

The total contract value is approximately USD 500 million. The project scope of work entails complete engineering services, equipment and out of kingdom material supply (to be performed by Tecnimont) and in kingdom material supply, erection and construction activities up to start-up and guarantee test run (to be performed by Tecnimont Arabia Limited).

Borouge is a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), one of the world’s major oil and gas companies and a leading diversified energy and petrochemicals group wholly owned by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and Austria based Borealis, one of the world’s leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions.

COVESTRO, Belgium

Covestro is one of the world’s leading polymer companies, focusing on the manufacturing of high-tech polymer materials and the development of innovative, sustainable solutions for products used in many areas of daily life. The project will realize a substantial additional aniline production capacity to the existing Covestro site in Antwerp.

REPSOL, Portugal

The total contract value is approximately €430 million. The project scope of work entails complete engineering services, equipment and material supply, installation and construction activities and, as an optional part of the scope, commissioning and start up. The project completion is expected by 2025.
